DIY Guide: How to Clean Your Dryer Vent

Tools Required

  • Vacuum cleaner with a hose attachment: For removing lint and debris.
  • Dryer vent brush: Specifically designed to reach deep into the vent.

Step 1: Unplug the Dryer

Turn off the power and pull the dryer away from the wall.

Step 2: Disconnect the Vent Hose

  • Use the screwdriver to detach the hose from both the dryer and the wall.

Step 3: Remove Lint

  • Use the vacuum cleaner to clean out lint from the hose and vent opening.
